i was hoping to do it on the cheap?

Then give the bill to your decorators, they should not have touched something like an alarm system if they did not know the possible consequences.

Better still, you should have told them not to touch without talking to you first, because you knew what would happen if they did, didn't you.

Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.

What have they done? Its not your fault, so as suggested, get them to pay for the call out/diagnostics to reset it etc

got it sorted after a bit of searching found out i needed software called wintex.if anyone needs this sofware i can email at request

Adrian this is where the Tex epos fails!......

Your installer/arc wont charge you for a reset?
