Scantronic Radio Tx/rx

Featured Replies

Had a gander at the Coopers site but can't find what I'm looking for.

I need to link two fire alarm panels that are in buldings in direct line of sight at around 40 metres apart.I have used Scantronic before to do this but can't remember the numbers - 9*** seems to ring a bell.

Visonic no good?

Used their kit a lot IMHO very good range

Just out of interest, be a bit more expensive but what about using a gsm Tx to gsm Rx set up?

Or even PSTN Dialer to gsm receiver. Gsm receiver only works on calls from known numbers so no chance if false trips :).

Think there is a later more secure digital rx & tx version by Visonic if needed, 4 & 8 channel Rx

yer, 703 & 762, supervision on 04

egg moment: only xmits one way though would need x two for comms both ways, though did fit obscure kit for water board remote pumping stations a decade ago, no paperwork for it as they supplied & maintain. hmmm got me thinking now...

Emmmmmm........I see them coming in under 27.1 and in particular, the reference to radio relay units which are then seen as fire alarm networks.

Battery back up might be an issue TBH - it's a P1 system so the system signalling to the main system will have to hold for 72 hours.

Was ripped out couple of years after installation. only info gleened, was made in israel (not a slur) on 433 and apparently a pita is an understatement.
