January 15, 201115 yr comment_266209 Hi Guys. I need some help with my alarm. Recently I did internal wall insulation and I had to remove my detectors, after placing it back they don't want to work, alarm goes off with information that two of them are lost. I have gardtec panel 800 series with wireless detectors. Is there any code which would allow me to reset new position of detectors? There are no instructions how to do it in manual, please help. January 15, 201115 yr comment_266211 if they are classed as missing it means the panel / reciever cant see them anymore. Are they powered up correctly ie batteries. you havnt moved them to dead area of wireless coverage that might be shilded by metal work etc? securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount. January 15, 201115 yr comment_266213 Just stay clear for 3 mins then activate them I.e. Get a red light, that's when detector sends s tamper restored signal to panel. January 15, 201115 yr comment_266258 Later receivers need updates more often, that csuses detector lost or not ready reports, move dip switch 4 in detector to 'on' to cure it. January 15, 201115 yr comment_266261 I wouldnt recommend adjusting any dip switches. alarm goes off with information that two of them are lost. what information exactly are you getting? Ideally though, the transmitters should be placed back by an alarm engineer and correctly tested as positioning is essential to their operation. January 15, 201115 yr comment_266262 arf, this would of been the case before he removed them surly? Agreed, but the report is 'lost' not 'tamper' (not going into an arfurlog ) i'm judt covering both scenarios. Dip 4 makes reports at intervals compliant with EN, they now come set that way, but many were sent out on old settings. Did not always cause s 'device not ready' report straight away.
