Personally I want to have a different username. I like my handle.

You can be confident someone else somewhere has your real name and with every number under the sun after it too.

personally dont bother me if its a real name, real looking name or a handle. Many want to protect identity to allow them to post honestly. IMO Whatever you prefer is good for me.

All who know me know my name.

I use my nickname because I respond to it more than my given name.

A few here take the mick and call me Paul at times. So what, its not going to kill me.

Others, in fact a lot use "monikers" even with real sounding names. Again what is the problem.

The few I have met from here use their real name and some a moniker. All have ( well not all, bar one ) have my respect for being the people they portray on this site.

Another site I frequent and post upon is full of people using "handles" know them for years and to this day still use their "handle" when chatting, either online or face to face.

Perhaps this is the way society is going with the internet now taking up a lot of peoples lives.

Nothing wrong IMHO as long as your not trying to hide something or being a cretin.
