RichardAirey
Dear Friends, My current alarm panel is over 20 years old and I have decided enough is enough I have decided to go for a veritas R8. The panel is located in the hallway about 3 meters from the front entry, shoulder height in clear view. Since relocation will cost alot more instead I wish to mount the R8 main box high enough so that a ladder is needed MY QUESTION: To do this I would need to extended some wires to reach the raised box, how would I go about hiding the Terminal blocks which are at shoulder level? Is there a smaller alternative to using terminal blocks? Thanks is advance!
hpotter
Not wishing to put you off upgrading, but I'd be inclined to start again. New panel, detectors & wiring (as you wish to resite the panel). Additional cost would be minimal - click the sponsor link above for prices. If you must do junctions I'd solder joint & heatshrink sleaving.
