So, what your saying is, the alarm company who were merrily unaware that some window fitter made a mess of your intruder system, now have to run up a financial loss through no fault of their own so you don't have to spend any money???.....or sort it with the window fitters.

I trust the window fitters were/are bona fide professionals and fully insured???
