just had a new PVC front door fitted but the guy cut the wire OF DOOR ALARM because the sensor was inside the wood. now my control box is showing intruder alert but the local firm are charging

Agreed I would say that a good deal for a callout charge.

If you cut a wire to your boiler what would that callout charge be?

sounds cheap at half the price!!!

How much would you pay for a sparky, boilerman or plumber to come out?

price wise search the forum as this "argument" has been done to death and think what do the following charge BT, virgin media, Scottish Gas, your car dealer etc etc etc.

Cost covers van, fuel, tools, training, insurance, wages, premises, phome, fax, advertising, accountant, accreditaion, tax, NI & PROFIT (maybe) etc etc etc.

I know of several firms local to you who would not charge less that

Phone your internet provider (BT) and tell them the same story and tell us their price?

If it's less I'll pay your
