I have a n Optima compact, when I enter the house it only gives me around 5 seconds to get in before the alarm sounds, this is not enough, can anyone tell me how if at all i can change the time i have to get to the alarm box and switch it off

hmmm! unles the exit/entry door contact is stuck (closed circuit), which means the owner on entering instead of having the usual entry time trip's the 'access' zone hall pir.

I'd agree with arfur on this one.

Try this....open your front door about 6 inches with the alarm set but don't enter the house, if nothing happens you have a faulty door contact.

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!
