Cctv Sample Files

Featured Replies

Hey im a MSc student doing a project concerning CCTV file types. I'm in need of sample files from a CCTV. I'm not refering to AVI files of a CCTV footage but sample file types as recorded on a DVR. Does anyone know of a site where i can download these files.

Thanks in advance.

Hello

Sorry I don't but maybe someone else will so check back over the next few hours & days to see what replies you get.

Anyway: I though it was the law that students had to be drunk on cheap cider by 8pm on Friday's ?? :P

cheers,

C.

if your planning on decoding the raw files, then im afraid thats called reverse engineering. I doubt anyone here will help with that.

why would you want to for any legitimate reason. Most dvr's can export into a format as you mention such as avi, but a lot export in a protected format to prevent image tampering, and if they are altered a watermark check program can tell if it has been.

Sorry.

Thanks for all the replys...

lol yes would have been drunk if it wasn't for the project...

Well i'm working on data carving, i'm trying to carve out CCTV files. For this i have to examine the CCTV files (headers and footers). My supervisor is supposed to be getting me some samples but mmm he keeps forgetting.

Guess i should contact some DVR manufactures about getting some sample.

Thanks again guys.

We have a fair few manufacturees on here Hasindu: system Q for one - http://www.systemq.com/.

It may be a few days before he or others see your topic though so don't give up on us, lol.

I dont see how the headers of a file will be much use when trying to decode it, the file wont include an mime info? What language you using?
