I appreciate this is fairly subjective - but your opinions would be grately appreciated.

I live in the West Midlands and have a new home. A local (established) firm have quoted for 5 pirs, a bell box, a panel upstairs and a smaller one by the door, and the system rings me if the alarms goes off. The price they gave given me is

Sounds like a budget price to me - what components have been specified and is the company SSAIB or NSI inspected?

Who recommeneded this company to you? have they had a system fitted by them for a similar price. It does sound a bit on the cheap side, with out looking at your premises I would have thought

The only way I would even think about that is if your house is pre-cabled.

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
I consider my prices to be as low as can be acheived sensibly... and for the described system I would be charging double the amount quoted.
