Texecom Premier Elite 24 Questions
Connect to the panel, Click on Receive and choose Receive All (Data &Log). Any PIRs that are between the entry doors and the keypad or stairs and keypad should be Guard Access. Any that need to be off at night Part 1 Omit. You could click on Accounts and Backup Account Data. Then post the backed up account for us to look at. Jim

Texecom Premier Elite 24 Questions
Hi , I'd default the panel and start again. Don't bother with two areas or Area Arm Suites. Everything in area A. Landing Part 1 Omit. Keypad Quickset on. Hall Guard Access. Part Arm Silent. What can go wrong? Press Part then yes at night. Landing will be off, Hall will be Entry. Jim

Texecom Premier Elite 24 Questions
You could check the "Quick Arm is On" in the keypad options menu. With the landing PIR attribute "Part 1 Omit" checked. Then you can part set by pressing Part then Yes on the keypad without using a tag or PIN. The hall is already Guard Access so it will be entry in part set. Jim

Luxhome
We're not that short of work. I've told them we're not interested in installing it. Funny thing was, I was on an SSAIB inspection in an adjacent industrial unit when their site electrician came over and asked me to install it. I've told him to do it himself or I can quote for a real system. Thanks for your input. Jim

Me too, installed loads of them. Texecom every time. Defaults as a monitored system though, so you'll have to re-program as bells only, Jim

How to reset a panic button
If your panic button looks like this, you can undo the two screws, take the front off and push the buttons back with your finger.

texecom premier power o/p fault
We have had a few switched mode PSUs fail. Texecom say its due to mains problems but they should be more robust. Their Tech Support said that they have "Over Engineered" the PSUs to get round the problem. I don't know if they are installing them in all new panels though. Perhaps someone from Texecom will tell us. Adrian?. Jim

Float switch alarm ?
Depends on your control panel. We mainly use Texecom Elite panels. On those you can program Custom Zones that only trigger internal alarms or warning tones. Jim

Texecom AEC-0001 Glass Break Latching
Hi Bee_man, The latch functions are in the manual (very tiny). I've copied them here. Jim Latch Input Functions The latch terminal can perform several different functions depending on how it is connected: Latch Connected to Set Positive (SW+, Set+): The LED’s will be disabled while the system is set. Any detectors triggered while the system is set will indicate this by permanently lighting the red LED (upon unsetting the system). Detectors can be reset by taking the latch line high and then low again. Latch Connected to Alarm Positive (AL+, A+ve): The first detector activated while the system is set will indicate this with a slowly flashing red LED (upon unsetting the system). Detectors which activated subsequently will indicate this by permanently lighting the red LED. Detectors can be reset by taking the latch line high and then low again.

Wired Intruder Alarm Courses
If you do go for a Texecom Elite 24 you will find that it defaults as a Grade 2 system with all the anticode, engineer reset and line fault options etc. switched on. You would have to switch them off for an audible only system. I have installed hundreds of them and think that they're great. The panels com with Wintex software on a CD ROM. The best way is to get a compatible Texecom USB-Com interface data cable from Ebay (£19.99). It's easier to program from Wintex keypad programming is a bit frustrating as Amps said. Jim

Texecom Elite Ricochet every time. I'd steer clear of the wireless external sounders though. I've had a couple of problems with them. The Texe keypads look very Menvier, so you won't need to decorate:) Jim

Accenta 8 problems - alarm sounds during power cut and power / day keypad lights not on
Hi Martin, Some batteries have a recommended three year life. Some have five years. This is definitely a battery problem. You will need to power the panel down from the fused spur, if the is one :). Disconnect the battery and power up from the fused spur again. While the panel is powered down the external sounder will be activated (If you have a self actuating external sounder with a battery that is not flat as well). The panel should recover at that point. You will then need a new battery. If the panel is trying to charge a dead flat battery, it may have blown one of the internal panel fuses . If it has defaulted itself, the default user code is [EDITED]. The keypad may not respond if there are any tamper faults.....Or ring a local alarm company Jim. Rutland & Belvoir Ltd.
