  1. There is a fuse for the bell and strobe on the alarm PCB If you bridge C and D at the PCB does this solve the tamper fault if so maybe the tamper switch on the bell box not picking up the cover is on
  2. I would say nope I would upgrade to a Texecom Veritas V8 or the optima G4 compact. Also if you go down that route maybe even the Texecom Excel with a remote keypad.
  3. A grey area they might be an intruder? there was a story a few years ago off an RAC man got called to car with the keys locked in and when he arrived there was a man next to the car. RAC man got the keys out in just a few mins and the man drove off, Then the owner of the car arrived to find the RAC guy and his car was gone. I might do if i looked like a DIY install with no installer details and it seemed 100% that they had a right to disarm the system. I would help a neighbour like a shot
  4. I know that RAC and AA breakdown patrols are all employed ( Small vans first response ) The truck drivers some are agency but most are also employed and Green flag only use subbys for all there work. If AA or RAC can not get one off there own van's/Trucks it is then given to a subby but they will turn up in a garage branded van/lorry. You are Right both AA/RAC guys are asked to stop to make new customers but thats business I wouldn't fix an alarm for nothing would you?
  5. I would go for the texecom wireless one and fitted correctly will be a very nice system.
  6. Hi I guess when you say all the zones show correctly you are talking about 17 to 24 which are on expander number 2 (external Expander) Also have you set the aux input on the expander to not used and not to tamper unless you are using it as a tamper loop
