Welcome to the site, there are bound to members here who cover your area, who can inspect and test your system.
Out of interest, how did the fuse holder get damaged?

but dont eat the nuts off the bar.

Id have a steering wheel for the office wall. New, there must be millions of £ worth there.

Slightly off topic, but DVR hard drive fails following PAT testing, power cuts etc is one of our largest growth areas (in terms of enquiries). And as CCTV systems are now prevalent, I see it being the biggest source of new work very soon. Three enquiries for this just this week.

You used to be able to unclip the ribbon from its plug and reseat the ribbon to cure this termination issue.
Might be worth a look.

Its the number of platforms that are increasng, windows is becoming less relevant than it was when every home computer was a PC.

I've been googling & remembered the term "potting"
Hot melt is ideal, ta
Potting compound, messy stuff (voe, with a black desk top now).

Don't say that, lol, just bought some DT's, don't usually use that many but was going to give them ago if my FA site has a spasm again.
I thought the KX quad was ok, especially on the low setting.
I was trying to stay away from risco, which siemens model?
E-line G2, a bit of a fart on to fit IMO, but seem stable enough once up.
-
We've ripped out loads of KX Dts due to FA's, they are garbage and not fit for anything other than a domestic room, so no advantage over a PIR. Replaced with iWise or Seimens.
I dont think we've had a duff Enforcer, Euromini or Euro46 panel but have had a few LEDs fail on Castle keypads. I hear that they are now moving production back to the UK so hopefully quality will improve.

filth.
Ive a good mind to edit it.

Change your USB drive
I had lots of issues with my new sat nav unit, upon testing with Alpine, the cause was nasty cheap Chinese copy flash drives
I use 2x Sandisk in my head unit for MP3 and Navi tracking, never misses a beat
Classic symptoms are GPS unobtainable or lost
Mine has the removeable nav module, I think the issue is down to overheating. It seems to be a bit more reliable with the screen open a bit.
The USBs all work on PCs and in a Sony ICE unit I had but tbh I can live with it not able to read them 100%

I've had Alpine Navigation for years, Just cant beat it..... Not the cheapest, But the best in my opinion I have these in my vans
Loads of good features, built in Traffic Master, Accident re-routing, Speed Cameras, Overspeed warning & full journey tracking
Ive got an Alpine unit in the car and Im not having the same positive response as you.
In fact mines *****, GPS keeps dropping off, bluetooth the same, and can only see a handfull of files on a memory stick. As a SN its unusable, hence still having the Tomtom in the boot.
Many other owners reporting the same issues.

Windscreen mount & smart phone ?
I used to prefer a separate nav but recently got upgraded to a HTC One Mini2 and Im using that now, I can hear it and everything.

you lost me.
I dont think so. Its easy to do what Mr H wants AM to do, Im just a bit surprised that the "industry leading software" is making such a meal of it.
Im only making the point because of several other such topics which have cropped up here over the years about AMs functionality.
-
appendix f is a protected word doc. You can re- make it easier. AM aren't responsible for templates we are. We have hundreds of reports and many templates, AM include some basics to get you going. I hardly believe people believe templates should be part of customer support, maybe it is!
I dont think anyone would buy payroll software which didnt provide basic output.
My point is that (programatically) its not difficult to provide a template which will deal with all the data in Appendix F, without having to mess about with mail merge into Word.
-
It may be the version of word I'm using 2003 ?
I doubt the version of Word makes a difference, its just taking comma delimited output from AM and dropping it into your template doc.
I would have thought that if you're paying an annual sub for AM they should be providing up to date reports to drop into AM for this type of output. Its looks a bit shoddy TBH.

Is the board daft enough to upgrade my status to Admin so I can tinker with board to make a trade IT / AM section ?
Anyway I been f'kin about trying to make this tat a mail merge document for alarm, master & the best I can do is drop it onto an existing working doc & have mail merge but no drop down field boxes ?
I have support with PCdata but are asking on here as I suspect I may get a quicker result ?
Thats bog-standard DB output, why is AM not making it easy to do?

Is It Illegal To Have Microphone On Camera/cctv Kit

This is a forum for technical matters, not legal advise, so my advise:
1 - No you can record audio. If the camera is on your property, viewing your property you can record pretty much what you like. Commercial properties are somewhat different.
2 - Dont know, not familiar with that kit. It looks like jonny 5 has got loose again.
3 - Again, not familiar.
4 - If he gave you a written quote listing audio as being included, then I would have thought sale of goods act to start with.
