  1. It would if they want the CCTV to be admissible though. Domestic can do what they like so long as they are not breaking any privacy laws. But if you want the CCTV to used as evidence it has to comply
  2. That said the question is about data protection and CCTV Hi Sophie The ico does not like audio recordings with CCTV system besides anything else it also breaks a few privacy laws, and unless your system is fully compliant with the DPA the CCTV would not be admissible in court anyway It sounds like you are having environmental problems you can get more information on what to do here https://www.gov.uk/local-environmental-quality I would swerve the swan kit like my life depended on it.
  3. There is nothing in the standard that says you must or must not have flashing leds. Most modern hardwired BB do have flashing Leds, most wireless dont. There are hard wired box's available without Leds. It depends on what type of intruder you are likely to get as to whether he will even notice if you have an alarm, a professional burglar will have done his homework, and a drugged up opportunist wont notice the bell at all until its ringing.
  4. £10 pcm no call charges? are you paying less than £10pm on mobile calls currently? Also if you dont make enough calls to warrant the sim what makes you think you're going need to call two mobiles at the same time?
  5. There used to be a Modem type thingy that you put a sim card in that connected to you pabx and everytime you dialed an 07 it used the modem all other numbers used the standard line. Cant you do something like that?
  6. Life without happiness equals not enough work
  7. Unfortunately I think we all missed the boat
  8. QFA muppets are only getting the crappy jobs nowadays. Best way to go it alone is to subcontract. If you have some cash behind you you could look around for a small co to buy. Its not as simple as it seems I came from engineer engineering manager and then operations manager, I thought I was running the business as an operations manager. But little did I know, it was a big learning curve when I purchased my own business, with as Andrew says lots of 80 hour weeks, and lots of nightmares along the way. If I could start all over again I would think long and hard and then go get a job in Spain hiring deck chairs and getting laid every night by a different girl
  9. They will put them on the wall! http://www.nsi.org.uk/information-centre/wall-of-shame/
  10. sent it to NSI wall of shame but no reply I think theyre closed for Xmas
  11. Cant see the logo but found a page that says they have a NSI gold monitoring station I have sent the pic and page to NSI
  12. I would say they are probably programed as beam paired two separate zones both zones have to activate before a non-confirmed activation. A little more sophisticated than in series because single detection activations are still logged
  13. FFS I have lived a very sheltered life what with lemony men and soggy biscuits and seagulling all learned from these forums
  14. Yeah but you was expecting it may happen, wherease mine was not an everyday occurance how many of those dead bodies were somewhere you wouldnt expect to find a body
  15. The trainee I was working with found a dead body in a garden once, that was a day I wont forget
  16. It does go on mate when I was engineering manager at another co I often had to go to site to check on engineers ect, and engineers have often shown me stuff they found whilst the homeowner was out. I was always worried that the customer would come back and catch us watching the customers home videos, or looking at their porn stash. When I used to install I found a stash of nude men mags and a rabbit under a young girls bed, to look at her she was definately not the sort you would expect you know butter wouldnt melt. Never found drugs or cash though
