Cats are a little worse than dogs as they can climb up on stuff, Bosch Blueline Dual Tech are the best dont point them anywhere where te animal can get within 6ft of the detector and read the instructions. I havent done any intruder engineering for years now, so I wouldnt really be able to assist with the codes I would be okay if it was a later panel but not the older ones. You have the user manual though so it should be straight forward enough if you follow the instructions

  4. I am surprised that a senior tech support engineer would say that without knowing what the current draw of the system is. We install systems daily and I can tell you without doubt that you are drawing too much current for the on board PSU. Its up to you but I would check the current draw in alarm before proceeding.
  5. You use the other power supply (with another back up battery) to power the detection and keypads, the panel will handle the bells on its own. The drawing shows the tampers in series, for the circuits, you just have to find the page that shows putting two sounders in series now.
  6. You have one wire in the tamper return for the bell so I take it that either you have wired the tamper returns in series, or only connected one tamper return. You have two negatives in the bell power terminals and the circuit tampers are not wire correctly which would suggests to me that you probably havent wired the bell return in series at all, and probably only have one bell tamper returned. The current being drawn from your system when in alarm is higher than the power that your control panel is able to supply. Before you go and waste money on buying two new bell boxes. 1. Do you understand what series means? 2. You need another power supply to run everything that you are trying to run off of your panel. At the moment you are trying to tow a caravan with a 50cc motor bike, you may be pulling it along okay but you are putting enormous strain on everything, and eventually something will give. Your transformer should be around 19.5vAC the 12dc output should be 13.5Dc so I would say the panel power supply is on its way out, or the battery in your multimeter needs changing, assuming its calibrated.
  7. You need to wire them in series, you also need another PSU when both bells are activated you are overloading the onboard PSU, as AlYeti says how do you switch it off LOL!
  8. AgreedPSU required and the tampers need to be in series unless you have some sort of open circuit tamper thing going on
  9. Why would you buy from that place even B&Q are cheaper for the same toot
  10. 13. All my leaflets go straight into the recycling box without getting looked at. along with those free papers, I am sure that some people will read them but not that certain that the type of people that read leaflets that come through the door are the same ones that will have a need for a burglar alarm. The only time I ever took notice of the junk that came through my door was when it came with a free sample. Now there's a thought maybe you could give a free door contact with each leaflet, people may like it enough to buy a complete set and have it installed. 90% of our work comes from recommendation the other 10% comes from our website. We get a lot of recommendations worth having too.
  14. Not really a Jolly up expensive food with long waiting times no where to sit unless you have a VIP badge and they dont like you buying food and taking it in the VIP lounge. I go to see what is new and what is coming. No freebies anymore, not many dancing girls anymore, and although quite easy for me to get to, I preferred going to Brum getting up at 06.00 and getting a full english breakfast on the way. But I can stay much longer now I dont have to worry about the M25, and its all pleasant on the tube and trains
  15. Yeah I know what you meant, lets just say I didnt make a claim but it probably would have been better if i had
  16. We nearly had to make a claim when one of our engineers dented four corners of a brand new industrial unit with his ladder whilst fitting cameras. Makes my piss boil thinking about it
  17. They come with £50 phones too
  18. I meant a photo? Cameras come free with phones nowadays https://www.acleigh.co.uk/access-control/salto-en/wired-equipment/salto-mifare-wrm9001-wall-reader.html
  19. Mine shows September 2015??
  20. I know the copper with the speed camera wont be there but it would give you an idea of the road and likely speed limit ?
  21. Street view it now
  22. The fact that you didnt even see the camera makes it worse IMO, ffs dont tell them that they'le have you for not taking due care as well! Ive been caught by the Gatso when they first came out but I know where all the local ones are now. I have always noticed the mobile ones, but I have not always been speeding when Ive spotted them anyway. I hate the ones on the M25 especially when they are fooking around with the speed limits and there is no reason for it.
  23. You are welcome
