False alarm issue
How strange, to satisfy curiosity In this situation I would swap the detector with one from a different room just to make sure, as you know the others don't false alarm. i would also look at why the suppressor is there and how bad is the ac leakage. when it was on the node was it the first zone?

False alarm issue
So you have changed the detector? you have swapped the cores used inside the cable? You have swapped the zone used ie from main panel to node. and you still get the same result? is it going Alarm or is it Tamper when it activates? i would strongly suggest it is environmental or could be a cable issue still, when you swapped cores around how did you do it? swap Alarm pair for tamper pair? Or did you have an 8 core there?

False alarm issue
Have you tried swapping one with another to see if the fault moves to the other room? only the guts not the whole thing. i had these in my old house for years and never had any problems.

Ts2500
Have you powered the whole system down and back up? i have done this before to clear network errors.sounds like you may have some interference or a ****** panel, have you tested for induced AC and checked the cable insulation? please note though, not all TS 2500 come back to life from a full power down lucky for me, mine are immortal

Risco eurosec CPX wireless alarm system
I don't install Risco kit, so can't help you very much here, but I'm just wondering what the protocol is for a detector that has "lost" comms with the main panel? is it possible that the detectors were polling more often for a reply from the main panel hence depleting whatever charge was left in the batteries? again I'm no expert on Risco so wondering what the other engineers think but I would say the batteries must have been low in the first instance, we change batteries each year on RF kit to maintain consistency of the system.

Anyone heard much about the Portishead shooting? My mother lives 2 miles from there and the talk around is that the car had explosives on board which is why the guy was shot multiple times through the windscreen.

Intellisense 800L
The newer company is probably just the "lid" not the guts. i wouldn't entertain changing the battery as the charging circuit could be knackered ect ect. Far cheaper long term to change the whole unit. In my honest opinion, if you don't know how to do the tests to check the battery then I wouldn't bother touching it at all.

Proper grafter then, fair play. the money should be good when your working away. Was talking to a woman I know today who said her bloke is going from working in Germany to Kuwait for a year because the money is so good, she said it's great because the mortgage will be paid off soon, thing is though he sees his two kids a few weeks a year and don't do f all with them, been working away about 5 years now. I feel sorry for him if he thinks that's living.

maglocks for internal door - mini vs standard
Depends on what you're trying to keep out? 20kg kids or 130 kg meatheads? to be honest you can still get through most of them if the door flexes enough. my choice would depend on the inhabitants
