  2. Hello everyone, I need your help! I'm installing a RISCO LightSys plus panel with the wireless module. The house is very large, so I had to use repeaters. However, after finishing the programming of the sensors, there is a download of the "Repeater.BIN" file between the panel and the repeater, and this download always fails, causing the detectors to never stay on the repeater. Does anyone know how to solve this? Thank you.
  3. I couldn't quite understand above But you can wire the -strobe and -bell together to the -bell on the panel
  4. Hello everyone, it's a pleasure to be here. I'm an engineer from Portugal
  5. I am replacing an existing old bell box with a Reson 8 bell box 8EP420. My alarm panel is a Optima G4. They are connected via a 4 core cable. The existing panel wiring is as follows: Panel Bell box Strobe+ (no connection) A link between T and A Strobe- (yellow) A (blk) SCB D (red)Bell+ B (blue) Bell- The Reson8 install guide only shows a 5 wire system: Panel Bell box Strobe- Stb- B (Bell-) Trig- A- Hold off - D (Bell+) Hold off + T- Rtn - I cant work out how I should wire the Reson8 from this. Any Alarm installers able to offer advice? Quote Reply to BernieA Report •••
  6. I believe different frequency prevents the use of normal visonic devices
  7. You can but we don't give advice on how to defeat systems which a default does. I'm sure you are genuine but others are not. Not sure if aft badged gear has different firmware stopping it's use as generic visonic maybe someone else here with experience knows?
  8. Hi James also can I factory reset the codes to default would be greatfull
  9. It's a powermaster 30 can it work with the visonic go app
  10. Last week
  11. powermax as in the really old one or powermaster?
  12. Hi I got a visonic powermax alarm unit it works fine but needed to know how todo part settings for alarm to arm door contacts for night only any help would be greatfull thanks
  13. Hi, it seems that I have similar issue. What solution did worked for you?
  14. Hi Flavio Unfortunatly most here are pro engineers and wouldnt touch diy grade stuff. I dont have anything like that
  15. Hi everyone! Trying to help my dad here. I've installed a Yale SR-330 Smart Home System. But it was partially fried during a thunderstorm. It turns on, but an intermittent beep keeps sounding off when turned on, and the yellow light turns on. I'm not in Uk and there isn't anything from Yale to purchase here in Brazil, much less an older, outdated system. But I'm chasing the Yale SR Smarthub 2.0 Schematics to download, and can't find anything. Can any of you help me on this, please? Thanks, Flavio
  16. Agreed if start with 1 circuit and work from there. Link out all circuits then start with 1 find out what's wrong with it move on. Start with resistance and voltage etc
  17. I had also had a glass place, Large workshop no detection 9448 or similar in an office block, equally crap fire alarm... Thomas Higgins letter than ccj for a few hundred quid of work (iirc)
  18. Dude forget eol If you wired tamper and alarm , linking the zone clears the led as you say , Does it do that on a zone connected to a PIR? If yes reconnect wires , join the alarm wires at the PIR , does it clear the led ? On setting There's simple methodical approach to this Just like you would fault find on electrics ? Unless your just first fix then I understand your current approach , (current unintended pun but I think I might use it again )
  19. Just don't... the basic stuff is the hardest because there's no proper logs or diagnostics, Something like a euro mini would say something like Fuse Failure 100 31/05/24 11:30, Silenced by user 1 31/05/24 11:33 You then replace the fuse, note the landing sensor does not light up, look in the loft to find a rat has chewed the wire or whatever Alarms are a massive pain the balls, don't get involved.... I regret getting involved In the words of Zammo Maguire - Just say no...
  20. I can do basic alarm installs but not had much experience with alarm fault finding but every ones got to start somewhere. The reason I asked on here is because people have experience with different alarms and could be a simple fix
  21. don't get involved in another one,.... When purchasing a house they or their solicitor should have the common sense to have the vendor declare the alarm working or not, ideally providing a service report dated within the last 12 month. Control, cable or device - Controls, does the controls have 12 volts on the aux supply ? (check fuse?) Device, does the device have 12 volts present to power it Cable, does the power cable have low ohms when made into pair. same for tamper & 12hr circuit. & high ohms between every other pair ? Why do I say don't get involved ? Who do you think there are going to ring on an evening or weekend when there alarm won't set, bleeps too much, does not bleep when it should bleep..... YOU Find a local proper alarm co. or tell the end user to find one
