  2. We've launched a new panel - the EURO 76 James adds i thought it already existed. Was the euro 44 then the 76 then the 134 announced before my kids were born? i wait to be corrected.
  3. Last week
  4. good news how bad were the ones you had? or was it range etc? ie what did you have before and what do you have now
  5. I bought some better quality contacts and wired them as in my pic and so far they are working fine thanks for everybody’s help in the matter

  7. ill keep doing my best.. to break ta
  8. Never on mobile but nothing seems broken yet
  9. Cool dude , but I do also agree with what your saying , after all , you guys got much more experience than me in this industry Ask for a free connection to try it ? For your premises
  10. Hopefully nobody noticed but there have been a few upgrades on tsi. Mainly aiming for speed improvement on mobile mainly if anyone has seen a speed increase.
  11. Be interesting to know a little more about it. Maybe an actual reason to got to the nec
  12. who's gonna be the guinea pig & have all the issues ?
  13. i think we will have to agree to disagree Al
  14. Encryption isn't the issue , it's product, industry has moved on and no one cares No but we talking alarm signals that no one is interested in ordering trying to intercept much
  15. i wouldnt want to send anything over IP without encryption. Al it your password 1234 or P4ssw0rd?
  16. Even insurance with no idea specify "Redcare or equivalent"... They were the market leader years ago and priorities change, there wasn't much they could do with the product the downsides were part of it's design. Agile/Secure mitigated that for years. Without Redcare Classic they are no longer tied to doing security, to people higher up its probably easier to fold at this point. I think you underestimate how much encryption you use on a daily basis...
  17. So as said boasting it's encryption and continuous monitoring But they didn't get much bigger in recent years and not many need or want to pay for it So espionage and spies and the mission impossible bank robber , no one really needs this service , and Hatton gardens didn't push anyone to change much either These days as long as they have insurance they start to care less
  18. Ive yet to meet anyone that didnt like redcare classic/gsm.
  19. Really? Encryption is fundamental to any secure data that needs transmitting, this concept does back centuries to well before computers. Original Redcare was an amazing product back in the day, it would work over wet string, had continuous encrypted signalling and 30s polling with no data costs. Nothing will be able to copy it, it requires having the infrastructure. Obviously there were downsides to the product which will explain the wind down. Everyone is jumping on the massive strength of the Redcare brand to sell there new tat. The product name is known fairly well outside the industry.
  20. if you have an additional 2 circuits where the 6 core goes back to (im assuming panel) then just use a pair for each contact (ie red/blk contact 1, blu/yell contact2 etc) and program the panel to the correct eol values. Wiring should be in the manual but if not just say and ill dig out an image. But also bear in mind how the contacts are installed. If there is an issue there however you wire them you will have problems. Post a picture of the 3 with the door closed please
  21. encryption prevents data being in sent in plain so it cant be read or intercepted. If sent in plain you could send the an open or an abort signal etc without it actually coming from the spt
  22. It's not just 1 contact tho, it's 3... EOL will be wired different at the controls end. Assuming this is three single doors, convert your 6-core into a data line for an expander adjacent to the first door, take single cables from the expander to each door. Wire it however you want not sure if Orisec supports DP from an Exp. EOL would be better but you could have issues with stuffing 1/4W resistors in tiny old style contacts if your reusing them. Most would replace the contacts. Program panel accordingly. This has the benefits of:- single fault will only take out one door, you can isolate doors individually, you know which door has an alarm or fault without taking the lot to bits, your cable to the sheds is a data line instead of DP so it's tampered in a better way.
  23. No sarcasm, but redcare what is it if not boasting about there encryption over the years constantly monitoring blah What did it offer ?
  24. Didn’t really want to get a expander for one door contact how would I do the eol contact wiring it is 6 core would anything need doing in control panel
  25. News to me, the legal info is missing from each of the websites, google finds the info regardless This was only interesting bit of info for me- 4000 x £150 is £600k which is not a lot of money for running an arc ?? (yes cctv pays more, however something like a smartcom will pay less) I guess at - https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/11798207
  26. everything should be encrypted especially in security unless i missed the sarcasm?
