No, don't fit one later Breff's advice is correct, fit one NOW before it starts annoying your neighbours with false alarms or possibly damages your control panel.

might be a good idea to fit the filter anyway, They are very good and not too dear anyway.

I got called to an existing domestic a while back which was activating everytime the lights were switched on, Fitted filter and cured it straight away :yes:

Best to avoid the situation in the first place but if cables installed it dont sound like you got much choice

The site above, call act, "dave" is the main man there.... these things only have 3 wires 12v 0v and earth, scantronic aren't that bad with induced ac but it'd be worth fitting one as they're only a few quid compared to anoyed neighbours knocking at your door..... act131... the life saver!!!

I'm on holiday believe it or not, brought laptop and mobile GPRS connection with me though, how sad is that :P

As for the typing, i'm suprised I got there first, especially with my curent level of intoxication :whistle:

I wish mate, poor service engineer me. :no:

anyway, it's inclusive GPRS megabytes i'm using up, as usual with phone providers it's use it or loose it.

I must really try to get out more :whistle:
