Hello Julie,

As the others have said I would get it serviced for peace of mind, the back up battery will definitely need replacing and the charging circuit etc checking. The engineer will go through the programming for you. Why not post your general location and I'm sure someone local to you will drop you a line.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.


You're best option would be to get a company out to look at it, it needs this particular problem sorting out, and a service.

You should also have it serviced annually, so ask about a maintenance contract, although an 8 year old 800L may be passed it.
