sound bombs

Featured Replies

hi,

i have recently purchased 5 lots of SB1 Sound Bombs, on fitting they all make a vibrating/buzzing sound, does anyone think that this is a faulty batch or are there special mounting instructions, this noise is quiet loud and cannot be normal.

i have checked the voltage at the sounder and this is normal.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

Are you feeding them with AC....?

How are they wired?

There should be no voltage at the sounder unless it is activated.

If you don't know......ask.

Are you feeding them with AC....?

I've had a loud 'ticking' problem when first having a play with certain Scantronic panels, but as others have mentioned this was on speaker and not a fixed 12V piezo sound bomb - do you actually mean an extension speaker?

The problem was due to running the panel without a battery on my test bench - once fitted it stopped within 20 seconds.

Stu.

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
