mikeald
hi all, please excuse my ignorence now, but what EXACTLY is the difference between a normal blu stu (with the dip switches) and a 3g stu? I dont fully understand the logic in creating a stu whereby u cant invert the polarity via the dip switches (as on a blu stu). mike Intruder & Fire Member
Paul P
A 3G STU is made by Versus now part of BT. Explains why it is not very helpful I suppose. We have always used them they are cheaper to us than the blue STU. Trade Member
Guest IM_Alarms
Can't the 3G be put in learn mode though? The GSM version can.

In any case, it's a simple enough task to reblow a chip to suit, so I'd probably save the extra tenner and fit a 3G rather than a BLU-STU Regards Bellman Service Engineer and all round nice bloke ) The views above are mine and NOT those of my employer. Nova-Security
we have a chip programmer so our engineers can alter the chip programming on site, very useful, the blu stu is better for most but it lacks on voltage free outputs where the 3g has three. www.nova-security.co.uk www.nsiapproved.co.uk No PMs please unless i know you or you are using this board with your proper name.
