Sterling 10 clicking

Featured Replies

Have a property with a Sterling 10 alarm. I was not given master code. Had a power cut event. Alarm is now making a clicking noise and lcd display is showing 1.1 and 7 black boxes. Any ideas how to fix?

To be honest, I’m not sure. Probably Spring last year

ok it might be worth running through that first. Checking system voltages etc.

IIRC that display means that the keypad isnt communicating with the panel.

Has anything other than th epower cut happened.

It does look power related though if so

Call the company that serviced it, I would say they didnt do a proper job those panels clicking normally means the battery is pulling the PSU down. The panel is over 30 years old now soif it cannot be resuscitated you have had your moneys worth out of it.  Sterling 10 were never a good panel when they were new, there cant be many of those around now
