Hi, we had a power cut earlier and when the electrics came back on my alarm appeared faulty. The tamper led light is on and 2 of the motion sensors make the alarm go off for a second. I’ve temporarily put tape over the sensors so the alarm is not going off, but is there anything to do to reset it? It is an Ademco Accord control panel. Thanks 

Sounds like the detectors are chiming check your user manual on how to switch on/off chime.

 

When was it last serviced? 

A power fail shouldn't cause any issues the fact it has points to a problem imo

We’ve never had it serviced since we moved in 3 years ago, we don’t actually use it so it’s just been forgotten about. ?‍♀️I’m going to call someone out to look at it today. Thank you

Either get it serviceable for you to use or have it decommissioned.

Unmaintained alarm systems are a headache waiting to happen.
