I am in eng mode, modify, codes, 249 (eng code) only lets me change eng code no more options.

On a 96 isnt 249 the engineer code, there are no options to alter.

 

Need the managers code to alter codes

Hi thanks for the reply all I want to do is enter the eng code and get into eng menu without going to option 48 first I have been told the way to do this is to add a star all I really want to know is where do I put the star

Hi thanks for all your replies I have now sorted this out with my old friend Google it is in fact the hash key and not the star key as suggested.

Thanks for the follow up, as few of us would disable the option it's not something we would know without referring to the manual. Though it was * turns out to be #

Most do disable the option imo. Nearly all the systems I have taken over have the option disabled. I find it a real pain when enabled with the usual response ‘we only have a fob no code’
