the software is bit a flakey,

 

default port no. for downloader is 55132

 

I changed it to 85 & it worked

 

I changed it to 6969 no worky

 

88 no worky, 

 

back to 85 & it works

 

I know the board is from a skip, by I think the software may belong in one too

it needs a power cycle to change port settings....

should you change the banner text-

 

download it into the controls, the old banner is displayed until the user code is entered,

I had hiwatch camera on port 85 on the bench the other week & knew my work router to house router was working on port 85 in the past

 

it appears the controls do not take up the software changes until power cycled or a code in entered on the psychical keypad

 

however the downloading software still won't load on the intended win8 machine, the same file loads on my lenovo & acer laptops

 

there all 64 bit machines....
