August 1, 20196 yr comment_487047 Hi all Currently having issues with the speaker input on a twin alert. It's wired to a GD48 and all is working apart from the speaker input for ee horn tones. I've connected it to the speaker negative (and tried positive) to no avail, anyone else had issues when using a dimension? Can I use a programmable output instead? I was under the impression that the speaker input of the twin alert wasn't designed to be fed DC so being a bit wary! Even pyronix tech support were scratching their heads. Cheers Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/42993-pyronix-twin-alert/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 Hate those twin alert things Fine for domestics imo but prefer the soint2. Can a programmable output be used then? The manual isn't very clear! As James said use output programme as ee horn but you would be connecting that to a sounder of sorts I think Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/42993-pyronix-twin-alert/#findComment-487065 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 August 2, 20196 yr comment_487068 I used to use them resistorless on scanny domestics but don't any more - have you tried any other value of resistor e.g. 10k (or 2 x 4.7 ) Edited August 2, 20196 yr by datadiffusion So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/42993-pyronix-twin-alert/#findComment-487068 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
