ADE Optima Compact "clicking" and dim power lights after mains power off

Featured Replies

Got an ADE Optima Compact alarm with an Accenta+ panel.

The power was switched off at the mains. When powered on again, the lights appear dim on both the panel and the box, but there is a persistent Pip or click. Not like your usual pip. Very much a clicking noise.

Any ideas?

Maybe electric arcing I would call someone in to power it down before it catches fire

Or it could be speaker click

No panic ......

Needs looking at, could be a number of things especially if it's not been serviced in a while.

I would power it down for now if the external sounder doesn't ring out.

No it just looked like an untidy mess, I just wanted to set it up and make sure every fob worked and every reader worked. Its all put away now its the one room I need to keep tidy we use it to demo stuff for customers.
