Wendtone
I have an optima compact alarm system which has stopped working. It just makes a clicking noise, non of the buttons function and the only light lit is the power light. The only way I can stop it is to disconnect it from the mains supply. Can anyone help me please? norman
How old is the battery. most likely it's that that's dragging it down. Quote Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
Wendtone
Not sure Norman, my wife thinks it could be four ot five years.
sixwheeledbeast
Have the battery replaced and voltages checked then power cycle it. Failing that it's likely to be faulty. Decent batteries only last 4-5 years in ideal environments
