Not really, I see exactly what you're saying; but the fact is towbars kit are fully available - heavily marketed, even, through the retail accessories brochures

of most car manufacturers. These are not aimed at mechanics, or towbar fitters, but the general public / end user.

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

    It seems to be the trailers breaking away etc... that causes the vast majority of deaths, rather than towbar failure.
