That's not the point tho, everything internet facing is potentially vulnerable. Sysadmins are paid to create layers and keep one step ahead with patches. If you run your own server only you/your trusted people have the admin access.

Any company not just Hik can easily make it so they could access any of there kit in the world that's on the web and use that data, it's all about if you trust that company.
