September 5, 201510 yr comment_429681 Hi. Please bear with me. I'm getting a telecom premier elite 48w which has I think 4 areas and many more zones. I assume you can set each zone independantly ie entry, walk through etc. what is the point of areas therefore? Like I said, please bear with me! I'm sure it will become obvious soon enough Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/39052-areas-vs-zones/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 September 5, 201510 yr comment_429717 Yes. Terms vary between manufactures. Quick key... Zone = An alarm detection circuit Area = A group of Zones, can be armed as if they were a separate system. (E.G 'The House', 'The Garage', 'The Shed') Part Set = A way of quickly omitting zones within an Area before arming. (E.G omitting upstairs zones of 'The House' Area) Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/39052-areas-vs-zones/#findComment-429717 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
