November 4, 201411 yr comment_403108 Hi, I had this alarm fitted and now need to go wireless. The c079 module states it needs a new firmware update. My panel says v1.0. Would be expensive to update it? Many thanks. November 4, 201411 yr comment_403112 The update has to be done with a dongle and a laptop. When was the system installed? Is it under a maintence contract? Should just be a cost of a call out to update the firmware. (Price Will depend on area and company) Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/37627-g2-12-firmware/#findComment-403112 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 November 4, 201411 yr Author comment_403140 It was 2 years ago. It's not under any contract. Fitted by a guy who did alarms. Sounds simple just need to find someone. I need to move the cable for the keypad. I'm in engineer mode is it OK to just unplug cable? Many thanks Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/37627-g2-12-firmware/#findComment-403140 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 November 4, 201411 yr comment_403145 If it was fitted 2 years ago I'd be suprised if it needs a firmware upgrade to take the RF Portal. November 5, 201411 yr comment_403148 If menu option 23 is saying V1.0X, then it's a V1.0 and needs updating. All G2 PCB's can be brought up to the latest version. November 5, 201411 yr comment_403161 1.0, two years old? That's been in someone's shed for a good while? Yeah we'd do it for the price of call out Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/37627-g2-12-firmware/#findComment-403161 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
