Sunday Delivery, A Step Too Far Or A Welcome Service?

Sounds like it from the tales of woe...

It reminds me how much I love and trust automation. When I look at the amount of screw ups v the amount of work we do, it's nothing. I'm a bit like Jeff in this idealism that we can get close to perfection all the time.

True, suppose we've all been there. Did an upgrade on a panel a few years ago, G3 type to 9751.

Spent nearly 6 hours running between 4 floors wondering why an expander wasn't always talking to the panel.

Thank fook householder was on holiday. Had tested wires before fitting expander.

Then found joint where wire looked like it was OK but had in fact snapped off since (existing shitty CCA type alarm cable, that was

supposed to feed a non-existent outside bell - no wonder it wasn't fitted in the end at 4 stories high!!)

No idea to this day why early on I wasn't re-doing cable measurements other than power and spare cores.

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

I was in the post office the other day and it clearly says on the door to remove anything covering your face, similar to the banks. A women was in there wearing those ski mask things so I had a go at her asking why she felt she was exempt from the rules?
