omegauk
Hi, I am new to this site so first time post. I was called to a faulty panel, which I took out remembering to mark where the wiring went in the box. A replacement came this morning and I have fitted it carefully putting the wires in the right slots including the remote panel. I connected the battery with the tamper spring down and got nothing when I let the spring go causing a tamper. thinking the battery was flat I closed the tamper spring again and connected the power and I got the power light on, released the tamper spring and got nothing, no beeps no siren. can anyone please help put me right, Thanks David. datadiffusion
What made you think the old panel was faulty? Are you sure it wasn't an external problem and you've just blown the fuses straight away? omegauk
the old one was light up but could not do anything with it, but when my son phoned me about it the alarms where sounding. I have checked the fused in the new box and they are fine
james.wilson
I'd disconnect everything and use a short wire and just connect the keypad. Prove you haven't blown it up and go from there. You have basically just asked 'my car wont start what do you reckon it is?' datadiffusion
it is a new battery, It was a new battery, has it been drained flat for any reason? omegauk
when I first went to see it I was told the battery as just been taken off, so don't think so. but even when you connect to the mains and you get power light on, there is no sound from it at all even the tampers are not bridged.. and also the keypad does not light up or respond when the buttons are pressed.
