March 20, 201412 yr comment_373539 Hi Recently I was using a vista minidome that gave me an alarm cable aswell as power/coax. Does anyone know what the function of an alarm cable on a camera is? I thought PIR's should be cabled to the DVR / NVR for alarm transmission. If someone would clear this up that would be great. March 29, 201412 yr Author comment_375252 No just a standard static, but what the alarms in/out for? I mean if you have a PIR that would go to the DVR and if you used the camera you'd maybe be using MD. March 29, 201412 yr comment_375268 some cameras can give an alarm out on activity detection. Ok for local dvr logging use, useless for reporting imo securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
