When freshly put down, they might well be lines, if they remain in force they will possibly be maintained as lines - btw, when is a line a dash - anyone?).

For your further education and road safety information, after a few years temporary lines at road work, not being refreshed become little more than dots with a few dashes - But they are the DOT's as i refer to, especially after several years of being worn away by tyres, but idiots still slam the anchors on - hence my description DOT's - it is these i clearly refer to in plain English.

is this a continuation of your civil asked questions, after i go to great lengths to explain as to why i used the term 'DOTS' that only you could not understand - and i'm the idiot, REALLY.
