They are pretty nice to be honest,it's a nice touch to shunt doors with etc.

Not sure about the fan status lol but they are a good,stable,technical control panel from my experience.Take a bit of getting used to but I think thats what can be nice about them in a strange way.

My old school has had two new blocks, both had alarms by Abel. What they did was use the same detectors for the alarm to control the lighting in the room, so when you walked in the lights would come on. Think they were Bosch blue lines with the two sensors in the one body.

 

Abels bell box looks quite cool though.

tbh many panels with an output can be used ti operate lights, on some i have used a timer to control or limit how long the lights remain on, input being electronic it can be run of output 3, while the clean voltage free relay springs offer isolated control of a contactor or GJD/Racalite system.

bigger panels add a programmable output expander, outputs to follow a partition activation or even a zone for passage/occupation lights etc.

If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
