JasonOfOz
Hi Everyone, Our Client would like to get a head/shoulders shot of people as they enter through the main entrance door of the building. Current camera position is 7m away from the door. My calculations suggest that I would need a 45-60mm lens. Mostly that would mean a box camera with lens attached but he thinks it's ugly looking so does anyone know of a dome camera with a long lens on it as I've never come across them before. Thanks! ps. needs to be wide dynamic too (just to make things even more challenging)

JasonOfOz
Yes - apologies James, you are right. at 7m with an field of view of 1m, I need a 35mm lens (assuming 1/3in) Is that better? hmm..retina would be good too!
james.wilson
yeah id say 33mm for 1m width but that's very narrow. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount. JasonOfOz
not really. DDA width of doors should be 900mm don't want it too much wider or won't get head/shoulders. ps. i hope the arm is healing nicely

RichL
something covert with your choice of lens might be the way to go, have a look at systemq.
