arfur mo
log on account codes is best idea but not infalible, bit left of centre but why not use a door interface to break the keyboard usb port connections? you would need to remove access to other usb ports, but present a valid card if switches state and restores the keyboard. If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!! breff
Found this online for coin operated pc, could use door controller relay instead The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! JasonOfOz
Thanks James but using Active Directory would suggest that they were issued with accounts to start with. As it's quite a transient workforce, they may be issued with access cards (to do their job) but not PC access. Good thought though! Thanks for all the great suggestions everyone. I'm still having a play and will let you know which one comes up trumps! Love these forums - just shows that nothing is really new and that someone, somewhere has done it before Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/35411-access-control-to-grant-pc-access/page/2/#findComment-348162 Share on other sites
james.wilson
That's the way to think Imo. Anyone may think they are all that but the lads on here and the knowledge held shows its a bit daft to think you know everything about everything. There is always someone that knows more. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
