September 16, 201213 yr comment_290344 Hi All, Need some assistance its been bugging me for months, but cant find a fix, im going mad. i keep getting "1:01 REM LOST" see attached. It seems to happen at least once a fortnight, once i reset it using the engineer code works fine for a couple of days, maybe even a week. I think it means the remote keypad is lost, but im not sure which one. I checked both the keypads the wires look securely connected. Any ideas how i should troubleshoot? or what I should do? Setup below Manvier M800 8-40 Zone Grade 3 Alarm panel. (installed in 2008) Manvier MSNODE8 Zone Expander (installed in 2008) 2 x Menvier MKP 3 (replaced both keypads in oct 2011, as both had a faulty LCD display, missing letters of text) Thanks M Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/33413-manvier-m800-keeps-going-off-rem-lost/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 September 16, 201213 yr comment_290345 Seems to be Keypad number 1 going missing. Swapping the two keypads with the opposite location would be my first thing to try. Also testing the voltage at the keypad would be a good idea. September 16, 201213 yr comment_290349 ABCD being the important connections, E is just the speaker driver. AB are power CD are data. You will also need to do a relearn when you swap out to be on the safe side. I assume you have the engineer code and a manual. September 16, 201213 yr comment_290363 Been a while, stick one in front of me and it will come back. But its one of the two as you can run a RKP on 4 wire. And the newer ones went from B to SPK anyway. And a relearn will still be needed. September 16, 201213 yr Author comment_290420 Thanks, didn’t know which was power and data. Yeah i got the engineer codes and manual. I programmed the wards and stuff originally but followed the manual. I’m a bit confused what you mean by relearn? last time i replaced the keypad it picked it up itself. just have to use the engineer code to reset, all the configuration was there. Do i need to do a factory reset? Is there anything i need to do? Thanks Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/33413-manvier-m800-keeps-going-off-rem-lost/#findComment-290420 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 September 16, 201213 yr comment_290428 The fault may be because you did not learn the new RKP. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool. September 17, 201213 yr Author comment_290434 Thanks your right, found it in the manual, engineer menu 2-7-3-3 confirming the network devices. I can check the health status there too. I will give this a go, thanks again for all your help.
