August 21, 201213 yr comment_288546 Hi, Last week my parents were woke in the night by a large kick to their front door - a foot print was found the next morning on the door. They have an alarm - what are peoples views on impact/vibration sensors on the door or door frame - are they worthwhile or do they create more false alarms than they are worth ? The door is a composite door. August 21, 201213 yr comment_288547 Perimitter security is worthwhile but it does add a cost to installs, so unless the risk is high they are not used as much as they could be. August 21, 201213 yr comment_288562 Vibros on front doors can be problematic, people legitimately knocking the door letter boxes etc People knocking the door?? Door slamming, and birds flying into windows, cause problems but if knocking on the door activates it there is something wrong with the way its set up Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/33319-front-door-vibration-sensor/#findComment-288562 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 August 21, 201213 yr comment_288566 On the frame, just below the bottom deadbolt is a good spot. Away from the (knocker and) letterbox.
