Without sounding stupid, what the best way to do it, is it simply remove mains power, or do i need to remove battery etc?

wait 1 minute.

restore mains,restore battery.

Alarm will be sounding, put in code to stop.

put in code again to reset.

As it resets for a while. Is it possible you have a problem on zone 5 which is why it shows. If you isolate zone 5 does it stop?

One of the first things i did was conduct a walk test on zone 5 and it was switching on and off as it should. Is this enough to confirm it is fine, or could there be another fault present which a walk test would not highlight?

all the walk test will prove is that the circuit activates. Not that it is stable.

ie if its false alarming on zone 5 then it will often need a reset as its activated

Hi - I have the same system.

We have decorated and disturbed the infa red monitors on the ceiling. It now keeps asking us to reset ( rr ) and (t 2) resets system and exit menu.....but the user guide does not show us how to get back to (On) the everyday reading on the alarm panel. I only put the 4 figure code in to to test the alarm and enetr it again to turn it off......I cannot see where I am able to reset the alarm, there is no instrution in the user guide.....

Can anyone advise?

Sorry but that is NOT THE CORRECT SEQUENCE to reset codes only.

As you suggest, read the manual.
