Smoke Detector Repeat Falarms

I have a new install where we have revisited to rectify repeat FA from the same detector. the detector has been changed as neither engineer could identify a problem.

The customer has identified the issue as a light fitting that every time she switches the light on she gets a FA.

My suspision is that the light is somhow entering the chamber and interfering with the detector. im stuck does anyone else have an idea?

The kit is FIKE! and no smart answers about changing kit please.

i am about to rotate the base to see how we go.

Is it addressable or twin flex.

If addressable id temp reprogram the detector and disable the optical on it (if you think its the light), but id of thought its more likly to be the light fitting.

Id look at changing that or screening the head?

Yep, had this problem on twinflex smokes.

Get the smoke as far away from the fitting as possible (if possible).

Also turning the base around 180 so the light doesn't enter the chamber seem to cure these.

These where about 18-24 inches away from a ceiling rose/light fitting.

Diagnosed by putting on heat only for a week or so.
