Customer called me today and asked can he have a camera in reception on a school, solely for viewing the front door when the doorbell is pressed. Easy enough.... no recording, view only.....

He then asked can we have another camera on a gate around the corner only for viewing purposes on the same monitor? Is this possible without a second monitor or some kind of multiplexer?

no recording just viewing for reception staff...

Some monitors have two inputs, and buttons on the front to switch between them?

Or use a 2 way switcher, or a quad if you want both seen at the same time

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

Get a PIP unit if they don't want 2 monitors.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Just buy a quad, though they have gone up in price since the demand for them is not so high, alternately you may find a DVR without HDD cheaper
