just make sure its 16 ohm, or use 2x 8ohm in series

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

The Bosch LBC3090/31 is a 6w speaker that is flush mount but is only 4 Ohms. Many panels will drive 8 Ohms but not 4

Maybe a 10 watt 12 ohm resistor in series, that would work.

I'd have to calculate it. It's impedance we need to worry about here not resistance as such.

As it's a dimension it would run 2 of these in series, but not 1 directly.

I understand your concern, it was a rough suggestion. Unfortunately is not easy to calculate the exact impedance of a circuit without the frequency ranges of the panel.

Manufactures impedance is based by roughly guessing the applications freq. range anyway.

But I was sure that inductors and capacitors differ between resistance and impedance but a resistance effects an AC wave the same as DC. Therefore I would be sure of getting a similar impedance although due to being a divider may roughly 1/2 or 5/8 the volume.

Vo=Vi(R/(R+Z))

This is not recommended for PA or Music applications etc, due to loss in power equals loss of quality/output which is a waste.

Alternatively running it through an audio transformer of correct impedance values.
