Hi, just set up veritas R8 system, when carried out a part set and activated the system, then performed a reset the External Sounder/Bell box still activated and can't turn off. Checked wiring at both sides both ok. Any ideas? Many thanks

Its either wired incorrectly or a faulty bell how have you wired it i.e. what terminal bell to what terminal panel?

Of course it may be a panel fault is the panel still outputing once you have reset? and lastly make sure the strobe output is not in anyway connected or shorted with the bell trigger

What siren have you used would also help

If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

Is the panel in day? Do you have a return tamper voltage from the bell unit. Either the units in tamper, or you have the trigger of the unit wired into the 0v of the bell (done that before!)

as above need to know what sounder you have. Some sounders have a high security trigger mode that might need a pull up resistor in the trigger if enabled.
