Not knocking it, but this is the 3rd time in 2 days I have seen this "mentality".

Rather like why should we have to use one (RKP).

Another insisted all engineers should carry a lap top. I know your stance on that!

One more bright spark said programme at the office. Right and that will take into account numerous variables once on site.

Not that I complain when using a laptop. Just had a play with Wintex too. Rather like Cooper Downloader. Pretty clear and straightforward to use.

Separate topic, but I do think the basics can be handled from a keypad but some features are difficult to understand and as such use properly when programmed from a keypad.

I understand they need to be lived with via the keypad. I'm thinking of it for commissioning

Why do people seem to think keypads are not for programming anymore?

as they have no trade back ground they expect a GUI just like there router/ printer ect...
