yes but to be fair i dont think there is a manual you havnt got

magpye, it sounds like you may have one or two manuals?! Although I have many PDFs of various manuals, I still prefer paper versions, even though they take up a lot more room. I think that the best compromise would be like the guy that came to fix our dishwasher (still under warranty or I'd have a go meself!). He had a laptop with a 'proper' printer attached underneath. If he needed a circuit diagram he would just print it from the PDF, scribble over it when necessary and then bin it.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh some fine works have been scrapped for less. There is nothing like writing it down on that bit of paper to add to your PDF collection as and when it can be improved upon. Or just to add to that massive file we all carry about above our shoulders.
