ATM the load is about 2.5A but I will be adding cameras later on. For my PS, that Dantech site recomends a 7Ah battery, hence the NP7.

cheers James, I just wanted to make sure I had the right model line re leakage etc but I see that the NPs are indeed made for security etc

Yeah..........use 12V Lead Acid batteries to power an invertor with a 230V AC (roughly) sine wave output, then power a 12V PSU from that to power your 12V kit.

Really efficient that !
